MLS off the port quarter of the French battleship. MS onto port bow of HMS Norseman (G.25), come abreast for refuelling in a choppy sea - as Norseman makes off at speed, HMS Renown is visible in the background. Two TBD Avengers pass low over Queen Elizabeth, their bomb bay doors open, during a practice attack. LA to two Dauntless SBDs as they pull out of dive-bombing attacks on cameraship. LS to four Dauntless SBDs flying past in rough V-formation. LS of HMS Renown under 'air attack'. CU of Admiral Somerville talking with Commander Haskett-Smith on quarterdeck - Valiant in background.
