Synopsis
Scenes in and around Diyatalawa camp extension where servicemen enjoy R&R.
Opening shots around Craighton Village - heavy rain clouds hang over the surrounding mountains. Undeterred by rain, a small party visits waterfalls at Nuwara Eliya where they find time to persecute a local millipede. The party returns. Men play tennis on hard court. Sequence of tea-pickers at work. Two men are served beer on the veranda of the 'Royal Stag' - they drink with a good will. Interior of the village hall where couples dance to the accompaniment of a pianist. Final shot of the distant mountains, lost in heavy cloud.
