Synopsis
A journey by car and camel, through Persia and on to Quetta in Baluchistan.
Camel caravan (57-68). Man leading mules (71-75). An Englishman setting off for the `back door' of India by car (85-101). Kermanshah, the first Persian town on the route (111-1400. A wayside tea stall (149-162). Pariah dogs enjoying a bone (168-179). The road is good at first (185-206). A Persian advising about the route (214-222). The road becomes bad (229-246). A break down between Ispahan and Yazd (256-278). The dog with the party (289-296). A contingent of Desert Guards on horseback arrive (300-208). Help arrives from Yazd (312-327).
