Synopsis
Observers on a coastal range report the fall of shot to HMS Lion as she carries out a bombardment.
A party arrive by jeep at the coastal site to observe the bombardment and report the fall of shot. LS to the coast from seaward - shells explode along the clifftops, others falling just offshore. The observing team times the exercise with a stop watch. Cut to Lion at sea as crew, wearing helmets and anti-flash, go to action stations.
