Synopsis
HMS Furious returns to Gibraltar carrying survivors from HMS Eagle, sunk during the Malta supply convoy Operation Pedestal.
Good MS off the starboard bow of HMS Furious as she approaches the quay. Survivors fall in wearing an odd assortment of slippers and plimsolls - one man has bare feet. Stretcher cases are put into waiting RN ambulances. Cut back to MS of Furious and CU as she passes left to right. Sequence showing crewmen receiving pay. Further CUs of survivor's footwear - one has a rather natty pair of two-tones but no socks - various minor injuries are evident. Final shots of pay issue.
