Synopsis
I. On the flight-deck of HMS Ocean, the firefighting crew stand alert in asbestos suits., carrying axes. Below deck, foam equipment is prepared. On deck, Hawker Sea Fury and Firefly aircraft taxi towards the camera; an FDO controls their movements. Below deck, a rating (stripped to the waist) operates a power-drill on a piece of machinery. Near the petrol vent, half-naked ratings are at work. In the ADR (Air Display Room) of the carrier, the officers are in action plotting. Behind the ship, its attendant destroyer HMS Ulster follows in the wake.
II. Malta: group of ratings stand on a rock overlooking the countryside. Long shot of Maltese landscape.
