CYPRUS GOES TO WAR

Synopsis
Firing practice by the Territorial Army at Limassol, Cyprus. Men rush to their posts, swing the gun round and fire off a few rounds. Another gun position, the gun is being operated by a remote control direction finder. The alarm is sounded, men come out of a trap door and work the gun. Officers look on.
Anti-aircraft battery in action. Air spotter whistles the men out, the gun crew pour out for action. The generator number goes to his engine and starts it. Predictor is laid on target. Showing gun on automatic control, muzzle swings across. Gun loaders standing by to load.
First air raid on Limassol. Three planes, presumably Italian, at approximately 10,000 feet. Slight fire.
Notes
Summary: dope sheet states that "The Battery operating these guns took part in the Battle of Britain at Dover. It is said that they hold the record for shooting the most enemy planes down in a day - which was 13."
