AYY 173/2. 3-6 Oct. 1941. Arrival of Australian reinforcements at Singapore. The band on the dockside plays Waltzing Matilda. The sick are taken off by Malayan Red Cross soldiers. Australian soldiers give the Victory sign. Coastal and river patrol boat "Shun An".

AYY 173/3. 24 and 25 Sept. 1941. Malay regiment in training. Indian troops (Dogra regiment) arriving and being driven off in Australian lorries.

AYY 173/4. 17 Nov. 1941. Punjabi and South Indian reinforcements arrive in Malaya, they give the Victory sign and are driven away in Australian lorries.

AYY 173/5. 15 Nov. 1941. Singapore Volunteer Corps (local Home Guard). Anti-tank mines and petrol bombs. Manning a pill box. Arrival of 25 pounders at Singapore from England, loading stores from an American ship. Arrival of ambulances and motor vehicles.

AYY 173/6. 21 Nov. 1941. Scenes at a recruiting centre, showing the many races joining up. Armoured and scout cars arrive from South Afrcia. Arrival of aircraft.

AYY 173/7. 29 Nov. 1941. Gurkha Battalion at Selangor. They play cards and a form of draughts. Kukris from Nepal are presented for inspection. Gurkhas perform a dance dressed as women.

AYY 173/8. 2 Dec. 1941. Major-General Heath, the "Victor of Keren", in Perak, talking to Indian soldiers. Indian Army Ordnance Corps detatchment attached to the Sikh Battalion maintaining motor cycles and other vehicles. They wear nets over their turbans for camouflage. Sikhs eating and playing hockey. Drill with 2 inch mortar and Bren gun. Loading practice for coastal defence.

30 Dec. 1941. Near the Siamese border, British Cycle Infantry cycle to Sungei Patani station and prepare to entrain. Motor transport and Bren carriers move along the road past the Alor Star black-domed mosque.
