Synopsis
The Chief Censor Captain Stafford and Lieutenant Edwards censoring mail. Cutting a sentence out of a letter and stamping it with the censor's stamp. Two men writing letters in the courtyard of the British Institute. Censor removing silk stockings from a parcel. Emptying mail sacks and piling letters ready for censoring. Censored mail is taken away and brought into the blitzed offices of the Army Censor. Taking mail bags out of the GPO van. Labelling sacks for despatch to England. An officer from the Cheshires censoring regimental mail. The latest mail arrives from England. Men crowd around a sergeant with the mail. Men reading their letters. Men writing letters in the shade of oleanders.
