Synopsis

The crew visit the 23rd Battery of the 11th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Malta Artillery at San Pietra. They look at one of the 4.5 inch guns and chat with the Maltese gunners. At Benghaisa they visit the 5th Battery of the 4th HAA Regiment, the most heavily bombed of all the Maltese gun positions. Members of the crew eating watermelon at a picnic lunch.

Bomb crater at Tanja, the largest bomb crater in Malta. Crew of the Ohio bathing at St Paul's Bay. The crew see one of the mobile 3.7-inch guns brought on their convoy already in position. Officers of the convoy come ashore at the Customs House, the Melbourne Star is visible in the background. They bring their spam sandwiches with them and are driven through the gates of the Dragoman Palace to visit the Marquis and Marquesa Scicluna. Officers in the private pool and playing tennis. The Marquesa saying farewell to the officers. Tea is served on the balcony, the youngest son of the Marquis serves cakes. The Marquis accepts a cigarette from one of the officers.
