Synopsis
Workers at Senglea waterfront, repairing the Brisbane Star. Bomb-damaged bastion of Cospicus. Workers looking at the Cross, which is guarded by the Dockyard Police and Royal Marines at Hammerton Wharf.
People (mainly farmers and refugees), watch the procession at Dingli, which is led by the Horns of the 1st Battalion, Durham Light Infantry. People file up to see the Cross on a plinth. Shot of M'dina.
At Kottonera, the wives and children of dockyard workers come to see the Cross. A police corporal lifts up some of the smaller children to see it. The Reverend Canon Camilleri speaks in Maltese.
At Vittoriosa two women cook outside their shacks.
