2 Feb. 1944. Dockyard sequence. Damaged sheds and docks. Men clear away rubble. A Maltese welder working inside a blitzed shop. Landing craft being repaired in a dry dock. Workmen riveting. Workers at the end of the day are seached by the Dockyard police at the gates.

2 Feb. 1944 Scenes at the Government Elementary School at Sliema. During the heavy blitzes it was used as a reception centre for casualties in the invasion of Sicily and is now back in use as a school. Maltese children are taught lessons in English. The children recieve their daily milk. Children watch a ball game during their break.

3 Feb. 1944. The Malta Agriculture show at the Government farm Ghammerie near Valletta. Lord Gort inspects livestock and poultry. The Archbishop of Malta, Monsignor Gonzi, blesses the show. Parade of gate carts.

6 Mar. 1944. Families wait at Valletta Harbour to be repatriated to Britain (mainly Maltese women who have married British soldiers). They are checked by the authorities before boarding the tender to the liner Aorangi. Families walk up the gangplank of the ship. More families arrive by bus. Relatives wave goodbye, tearful farewells.
