Synopsis
RAF protection for two convoys. Spitfires and Beaufighters take off. Unloading from ships SS Troilus and SS Orari. A smoke screen covers Grand Harbour and the dockyard during Alerts. The army and Royal Navy unloaded the Troilus, Maltese stevedores unloaded the Orari. Survivors from a Polish destroyer. Governor Lord Gort watches stevedores loading a barge with flour and boxes of tinned meat. Maltese policeman on traffic duty. Coloured arrows indicate the way to the various dumps. Bombs and ammunition unloaded from barge. General Beak (GOC) discusses the unloading with Brigadier De La Bere. An army tally clerk at work.
