Synopsis

AYY 199-1. 19 Mar. 1942. Firing of 2lb anti-tank guns at a practice shoot in Mena. Gun team in action, gun fired on and off the lorry.

AYY 199-2-1. 7 Mar. 1942. General Auchinleck holds investiture, inspection and march past of 7th Indian Brigade at Mena Camp. The Brigade consists of the 4/11 Sikhs, 4/16 Punjabs, Royal Sussex and Anti-Tank Company Brigade.

AYY 199-2-2. 7 Mar. 1942. General inspection and presentation of medals to the 7th Indian Brigade, including the 17th Field Ambulance. The Commander in Chief takes the salute from the 12th Field Company, the 4/16 Punjabs, the 4/11 Sikhs, the 17th Field Ambulance and the 20th Workshops.

AYY 199-3. Generals Gott (13th Corps), Lumsden and Corbett and Colonel C B Harvey (10th Hussars) hold an inspection of the 1st Armoured Division at Sghifet Es Sidra in the Western Desert (Libya). Brigade exercise with anti-tank guns, Mark VI tanks and armoured cars.
