The convoy passes a tank trap in the heavily defended Paitan Pass, gateway to Iraq. Gurkha sentry. An Iraqi frontier official beneath his flag checks the convoy. Customs notice. The lorry crosses into Iraq.

Polish recruits leave Tehran and are taken across Iran in RIASC (Royal Indian Army Service Corps) transport to Iraq.
