Synopsis
I. His Excellency Governor Wooley in his new Governors Service Uniform inspecting a company of infantry of the Cyprus Volunteer Force at Nicosia. Speech.
II. HRH The Duke of Gloucester on tour. HRH visits 16th General Hospital, Mount of Olives, Jerusalem and the Palestine Recruit Training Depot. ATS and Greek troops on march past.
He visits the 3rd Baluchistans at Karkur Road Police Post and the Czechs at Peninsular Barracks. He presents a DSO. Later, he visits St Jean Aerodrome; the 127th Squadron fly past and Hurricanes dip in salute. Free French sailors and the Foreign Legion at Dairut Aerodrome, Egypt: General Catroux and the Duke take the salute. General Catroux says goodbye to the Duke. Later engagements include Australian inspection at Enfeh Aerodrome, inspection of the Free French at Rayak Aerodrome and inspection of the New Zealand Divisional HQ at Baalbek.
