Synopsis
King George VI visits Malta.
Crowds lining the steps as the cruiser HMS Aurora passes in front of them. HMS Aurora with the King aboard. The barge approaching the shore. The King steps ashore and is greeted by Viscount Gort. The King inspects the Guard of Honour of men of the Royal Malta Artillery. The crowd in Palace Square, Valletta, awaiting the King. A young girl presents him with a bouquet on behalf of the Malta Royal University. The King's car leaves the King's Gate for a tour. Various shots of the King in Senglea. He is accompanied by Canon Emanuel Brincat, parish priest of Senglea. The royal party is enthusiastically welcomed at various places in Malta. Panning shot of the Royal Standard flying over Verdala Palace. The King, Viscount Gort and the Lieutenant-Governor posing for a photograph. Shots taken from a moving car of crowded streets.
