Synopsis
Air Commodore Sir John Cliffe, CBFFI (Commander British Forces Falkland Islands) delivers the address during a commemorative service in the Norwegian Church at Grytviken; he then leads congregation through the Whaling Station to Grytviken Cemetery, where wreaths are laid at the graves of Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton and Argentinian submariner Felix Artuso, killed during the occupation of South Georgia in 1982. Early morning shots of iceberg, sunrise and the South Georgia coast, taken from vessel at sea. Troops departing on board RFA Diligence. Shots of derelict huts with graffiti by British soldiers inside. View of King Edward's Cove with seals on land in the foreground and Diligence at sea in the middle distance.
