Synopsis

Abu Baker is a poor fisherman from the east coast of Malaya. With only a sailing boat he is at the mercy of tide, wind and weather. If these turn against him he runs into debt with the fish merchant. But with government help he obtains a new motor fishing boat which can take him and his fellow fishermen to new and abundant fishing grounds whatever the weather.
