Synopsis
The film covers the following subjects: Shiphandling - Describes the steering and propulsion arrangements and emphasises the unique manoeuvring characteristics of the Ppeacock Class. Seamanship - Identifies the non-standard equipment fitted in the Peacock Class for seamanship and demonstrates the basic evolutions. Weapon Engineering - Provides a broad overview of the role, range of WE equipment, family tree, workshop back up and support of the WE department. Marine Engineering - General background to the layout of, and machinery fitted in the Peacock Class. The film does not attempt to replace a properly structured PJT (pre-joining training), but acts as a useful introduction to the Class for potential members of the Marine Engineering department.
