Synopsis

Royal Army Service Corps DUKW amphibious trucks are used to move men and supplies on the river Chindwin in Burma.

Onboard DUKW amphibian (Duck) on River Chindwin between Kalewa and Shwegyin; they pass local boats and there is another cameraman aboard, presumably Captain Alec Taylor, Army Film and Photographic Unit. Various views including a DUKW towing a raft carrying a lorry and a 3.7-inch anti-aircraft gun. Raft with lorry approaches beach at Shwegyin. Shots from beach; lorry drives onto a raft. Another lorry. Raft is towed away. In midstream. Panning view of Shwegyin. Looking down on Shwegyin beach with DUKWs arriving and driving ashore; sunshine ripples on the water. More footage from aboard a DUKW, with views looking towards the driver and looking aft towards the beach. More views of the river and traffic.

The cameraman's dopesheet does not identify the unit operating the DUKWs, but it may be 387 Divisional Troops Company of the Royal Army Service Corps.
