Synopsis

76 Main Dressing Station, part of 25th Indian Division, sets up on Easy Beach on the Myebon Peninsula, in the Arakan coastal region of Burma, and receives wounded.

Indian troops unloading medical supplies from landing craft. Growing stack of stores. Various activity. Parked DUKW (Duck) amphibian with jeep parked next to it; sign reads 76 MDS (Main Dressing Station). Stretcher case lowered down from DUKW. Stretcher case carried into the MDS. Carried past a sign which reads reception. Another tent; Dressing Station. Wounded man on stretcher has a cigarette. Tent marked BOR [British other ranks] Ward Surgical. Another tent; BORs Ward Medical. British officer wearing only his underpants with a towel over his shoulder, apparently returning from a swim. Indian stretcher bearers carry stretcher case past 76 MDS sign. Stretcher case put aboard a landing craft for transit to hospital ship. Stretcher case on landing craft with bush hat pulled down over his face. Landing craft motoring away.
