Synopsis

Sir Henry Monck-Mason Moore, Governor of Ceylon, visits Kandy in central Ceylon (Sri Lanka).

Wide and high shot with a group of Boy Scouts on parade. Civilian drummers arriving in the compound of the Governors lodge; things seem a bit chaotic and a couple of musicians walk off in the wrong direction before being herded back by a photographer. The band now in position with the governors party behind. Governor walks to inspect the Boy Scouts. The drummers; in the middle of the shot is a cameraman (of the SEAC Photo Unit (US)?) with an Eyemo camera on a monopod. Various further shots looking down on the governors party; he is accompanied by a number of other civilians in lavish ceremonial dress. Shot of the governor and others at the entrance to his residence; a number of other cameramen and photographers clear out of the way. Cars departing.
