Synopsis

I. "Returned with Compliments." Routine of an air attack (by Bostons) on German Factories in France. One plane makes a crash-landing.

II. "News Digest." a. Disposal of unexploded 'butterfly' bomb, on forward landing strip in Italy. b. India: RAF steam launch carries supplies to jungle observation outpost. c. USN dirigibles give convoy support in Western Atlantic; film of convoy, from inside a 'blimp.' d. First contingent of WAAFs posted overseas.

III. "F.P.U.." RAF Film Production Unit at work on 'Production 26' (JOURNEY TOGETHER), visited by Air Marshal Sir Arthur Barratt and Air Marshal Sir Philip Babington.

IV. "A Tribute." To Flying Officer Goddard, who lost his life saving a German POW on a landing craft which broke loose between Anzio and Naples and was wrecked on rocks. (Film of the wreck).

V. "Letter to Bert." 'Australian' description of: a. Demonstration by a CAC Boomerang. b. Arrival of the 'Queen Elizabeth' at Sydney. c. Leisure activities of the Darwin Spitfire squadron.

VI. "In Passing." Handiwork classes for convalescing wounded in Cairo.

VII. "Transport Command." Mediterranean Ferry School: instruction in Harvards, etc. To Illustrate versatility of ex-students, two mixed formations (Kittyhawk/Hurricane /Spitfire and Beaufort/Beaufighter /Baltimore/Marauder).

VIII. "The Day." Second Front preparations: commanders confer; munitions etc stockpiled for "the coming storm." Montage of bombers, gliders, fighters, landing craft etc.
