Synopsis

I. "INDIAN LEADERS RESPOND TO VICEROY'S CALL". Indian leaders respond to the Wavell Plan. Mr. Gandhi, Mr. Nehru, Mr. Prasad, Mr. Kripaland, Mrs. Sarojini Naidu, Mr. Azad and Mr. Desai are in Bombay to attend a meeting of the Congress Working Committee. II. "COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF VISITS INDIAN TROOPS IN THE MIDDLE EAST". General Sir Claude Auchinleck paid a visit to the main headquarters of an Indian Armoured Division in the Bekke Valley in Syria, the 8th Punjab stationed in Cyprus and Baalbeck in Palestine. III. "RANGOON VICTORY CELEBRATED WHILE THE WAR GOES ON IN BURMA". Lord Louis Mountbatten took the salute in the Allied forces victory march through Rangoon. IV. "AUSTRALIANS CAPTURE TARAKAN OILFIELDS".
