ALLENBY IN CAIRO (1917)

Synopsis
The arrival of General Sir Edmund Allenby, the new commander of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force, in Cairo, 27 June 1917.
Allenby's train pulls in to the station and he gets down to meet with some civilian dignitaries. He inspects an honour guard of Infantry and a Boy Scout troop. Allenby drives away from the station in company with two other cars. (Note the civilian press photographers at work.) The rest of the parade, including the Infantry and Boy Scouts, then leaves.
