Synopsis
Rough material of British forces on the Palestine Front, 1917.
Most of the film is identical, including the captions, to IWM 17 NEW CRUSADERS. Additional scenes are of rifles firing from concealed loopholes, General Sir Edmund Allenby greeting dignitaries on his entry into Jerusalem, (from IWM 13 GENERAL ALLENBY'S ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM) a panorama of Alexandria (?), soldiers of the French contingent of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force disembarking from a train, General Bailloud, their commander, leaving his headquarters, and the Hong Kong-Singapore Mountain Battery in training (from IWM 6 INSPECTION OF THE IMPERIAL CAMEL CORPS) and using their 10-pounder mountain guns in an anti-aircraft role.
