Synopsis

Dr T V Soong, Premier of the Republic of China, arrives in Hong Kong.

Dr Soong arrives at the quay in Hong Kong; fast pan to a guard of honour of No.1 Army Commando presenting arms. Soong and Admiral Sir Cecil Harcourt, Commander-in-Chief Hong Kong. Soong inspects the guard of honour. Guard of honour marches off; Soong and Harcourt in foreground. Soong gets into a car which drives away; camera tilts up to show the imposing Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) building.

Notes

Cameraman's dopesheet notes that Soong arrived three hours ahead of schedule, resulting in the cameraman missing his arrival at Kai Tak aerodrome.
