Synopsis
Motorcyclists, mostly despatch riders of 12th Army Signals, compete in a cross-country motorcycle trial at Mingaladon, near Rangoon, Burma.
Various shots of motorcyclists negotiating the course, which features steep inclines and descents, and a mud obstacle. Riders seen include No's 5, 46, 9, 10, 7, 12, 4, 13, 19, 20, 22, 24, 31, and 23. One rider, whose number is not apparent, is seen attending to his machine which he has named 'Isabel'. The crowd includes various Indian and British servicemen.
Notes
Dopesheet adds that many of these motorbikes were 'raised from the scrap heap' but nonetheless they 'more than held their own against the roadworthy ones'.
