Notes

Rare and valuable images of Aung San. By this point Aung San was the foremost figure of the Burmese independence movement. He was assassinated by a political rival a little over a year after this film was shot, in July 1947. Sometimes described as the father of modern Burma, his daughter is the incarcerated democratic activist, Aung San Suu Kyii.

For footage of a rally in January 1946, see related items.
