A swimming gala and bathing beauty contest is held at the Lady Park Club in Hong Kong.

Start of the 100m freestyle. Close-up of the Chinese winner. Backstroke race in progress. Close-up British winner. Woman doing breaststroke. Spectators. Sailors in the crowd. Waiting trophies. Parade of the 'bathing beauties', all of them Chinese. Two British soldiers (commandos?) watching. Two men dive from a board. Man climbing out of the pool. Presentation of trophies by Sir Mark and Lady Young, the Governor of Hong Kong and his wife. Presentation of sash to 'Miss Hong Kong'.
