Notes

This battalion was part of 62nd Indian Infantry Brigade of 19th Indian Division, which by this point had crossed the Irrawaddy and received orders to advance south on Mandalay. 62nd Brigade had its flank on the river, and encountered little resistance but was held up by numerous lesser rivers, by marshes and lakes.
