Synopsis
Somewhere in northern Burma, a small wooden bridge is used by men, mules and vehicles to cross a river.
Indian troops pass camera. They pass through a wrecked village. Column of troops pass through the village. Troops and mules pass. Troops pass a group of civilians walking at the roadside. Jeep drives onto a low, single lane wooden bridge. Lorry passes carrying oil drums (insignia on the drivers bush hat suggests 36th Division, therefore northern Burma). Lorry reaches the other side. View from a vehicle following behind a mule train. More mules and Sikh drivers following behind. Sign reads Mountbatten Bridge and is marked with 36th Division insignia (two overlapping rings) and the number 51. Mule train crossing the bridge.
