Synopsis
AKC News Parade film No.323, 13 April 1959; including visit of Prince Philip to Christmas Island; floods in Madagascar; the journey of US nuclear submarine USS Skate to the North Pole, and the scattering of the ashes of the Australian explorer, Sir Herbert Wilkins; the opening of an extension to the Montagu Motoring Museum at Beaulieu; the opening of a new AKC Cinema at Dhekelia, Cyprus, by actress Susan Stephen; the training of the Great Britain Show-Jumping team; members of the Charlton Athletic football team receiving polio inoculations; and the England footballer Billy Wright winning his 100th Cap, and celebrating the birth of his daughter.
