Synopsis
I. "Conference on Freedom." At the second Inter-Allied meeting held at St James Palace, chairman Eden introduces Maisky representing the new ally, the USSR. The Russian ambassador speaks.
II. "Liverpool holds tank week parade." Covenanters and troops file past.
III. "American film makers present canteens." Admiral Evans, head of London Civil Defence, receives a squad of mobile canteens from the representative of eight American motion picture companies (Mr Alport ?).
IV. "Victory growing." Duke of Norfolk tours backyard allotments in Bethnal Green and admires chickens, rabbits and potatoes.
V. "On the Somaliland frontier." General Cunningham on a visit to the posts blockading French Somaliland inspects some Free French Senegalese. Women with camel captured trying to run blockade.
VI. "Cyprus reinforced." Stores are unloaded at Famagusta and airfields and anti-aircraft emplacements prepared to guard against a Crete-style invasion. Swordfish patrol.
VII. "FAA over the desert." Grumman Martlets on the ground and in flight.
VIII. "Their Majesties review Canadians." Royal inspection of 3rd Canadian Division; bridging exercise; massed bands.
IX. "Premier's V tour." Churchill visits ruins of Coventry Cathedral, speaks with London-Cape air ace Henshaw and poses with 615 Squadron.
