Synopsis
I. "Tasting their own medicine." Inhabitants of small German village of Katarineburg await evacuation across the border to Belgium. US Army takes this step to prevent villagers passing on information to nearby German army.
II. "News from the East." a. Flying display by the Chinese Air Force which is being trained in India. Planes (Vought V-65-C1 (?) flying in formation trace the letters September 1 (date 15 years before of founding of CAF) in Chinese characters, then spell out CAF. b. Governor of Assam Sir Andrew Clow presents Indian DSM to the aunt of a Sepoy, killed in action, who had also in peacetime volunteered to be injected with a form of malaria so that scientists could observe his medical condition. c. Indian winner of the VC Nand Singh is garlanded by his compatriots. d. Lord Wavell inspects men of the Indian Air Force on an airstrip at Imphal, as well as men of his old division. Maharajah of Manipur present. Tribesmen present gifts to Wavell.
III. "England win again at Wembley." Football match: England beat Scotland. King Haakon and Attlee watch.
