Synopsis
Scenes and incidents in connection with the ill-fated attempt of H G Hawker and Lieutenant Commander Mackenzie Grieve RN, to cross the Atlantic in a Sopwith B1.
Hawker and Grieve discuss plans; on arrival at St Johns, Newfoundland, they have the machine transported to Mount Pearl through difficult conditions; they witness the sealing of a mail bag containing letter from governor to HM George V; they take trial flight over fog banks; they witness trial flight in Martinsyde bomber.
