Synopsis

British forces deliver supplies to inhabitants of Perim Island.

British Army unit in Bedford trucks, on training patrol in Western Aden Protectorate, takes time off to deliver Christmas gifts to the impoverished islanders of Perim. The British soldiers, based for the exercise at the old Bir Sukaiya fort where they are seen with black-turbanned members of the Federation National Guard looking towards the Yemen border, are ferried across by a De Havilland Beaver of the Army Air Corps to Perim Island. An RAF Vickers Valletta then flies low over the island, dropping supply crates by parachute.
