Synopsis
Scenes of headquarters staff of RAF Coastal Command 19 Group at work, shot for inclusion in RAF COASTAL COMMAND.
Aerial view from Sunderland of convoy at anchorage off coast and of harbour (Plymouth?). Remainder of film has production slates numbered 301 to 321 and marked "Div 1612 USN" with name of director (?) and cameramen. Scenes show WAAF clerks working teleprinters, RAF Cyphers section and radio transmitters at work including an RAFVR clerk with Mauritius shoulder flash (board marked 19 Group indicates date is 13 April), RAF Wireless Transmitter section with WAAFs at switchboard. Final two scenes show Commander-in-Chief Admiral Sir Ralph Leatham standing in front of Movements Board for South Western Approaches air cover for convoys, together with Air Officer Commanding Air Vice Marshal Baker. USN Fleet Air Wing Representative and other RN officers.
