Synopsis
I. "The other man's job. Making stings for Mosquitos." Manufacture of casings for 500 lb bombs. Casings are removed from casts, tested for flaws then transported to a filling factory. The Wing Commander who led the first Mosquito raid on Berlin urges all workers to increase their output.
II. "AMGOT brings Naples bread." Ship in Naples harbour unloads sacks of white flour. Hungry Neapolitans salvage spilt flour from the dockside; others queue for bread in the city.
III. "Personalities in the news." a. Marquis of Linlithgow with wife and two daughters arrives home in Britain after having been Viceroy in India, and is met at the station by Mr. Amery. b. Mountbatten is met on his arrival in India as C-in-C South East Asia by Air Marshal Peirse and General Auchinleck. c. En route for Moscow, Eden visits Cairo where he meets General Maitland Wilson and confers with Egyptian Premier Nahas Pasha.
IV. "Red Army and Moscow talks shorten war." Over general film of the Red Army in action (firing, German prisoners, knocked out enemy material, including French Schneider equipment) commentary states Moscow Conference "laid plans to shorten the war and build an enduring peace."
