Synopsis

I. "Nachrichten aus Deutschland." a. US Defence Secretary Johnson visits Berlin (met by McCloy, gives press conference). b. German customs-service boats on patrol, searching incoming ships, in North Sea. c. Volkswagen launches its van/minibus models.

II. Singapore: ceremonial opening of new university. University is opened in the presence of representatives from 26 world universities and the Sultans of Perak, Perlis and Pahang, by British Commissioner-General Malcolm MacDonald. Film of the campus and medical school, students at work.

III. Report from the Czech frontier "between Hermannsreuth and Hermannsreuth". The Czechs dismantling their part of a village divided by the border; film of a Czech military patrol, and of work in progress.

IV. "Bilder aus aller Welt." a. Polish refugee woman carried out of aircraft with the baby to which she had given birth in the middle of transatlantic flight. b. 'Golden Horse' show in Springfield, Missouri. c. Young child driving miniature car in Paris "traffic".

V. Munich: Swiss basketball team begins German tour.

VI. "Christmas prelude." a. Cutting and packing trees in USA. b. Fishermen distribute carp. c. Toy stores: children communicate with Santa Claus.
