Synopsis

I. Factory in Germany produces "5 million pairs of spectacles every year": quite good film of lens cutting, grinding, mounting etc.

II. Nicaragua: South America's largest gold field maintained by air link with outside (aircraft use JATO on short runway).

III. Verdict in 'Kabus Trial' in Stuttgart. Trial is of several Nazi-educated youths who committed acts of political terrorism after war's end, raising questions of indoctrination and/or responsibility. Ringleader (Kabus ?) sentenced to death, others freed.

IV. "Personalities in the News." a. Sir Sholto Douglas visits Dortmund. b. US General Geoffrey Keyes (of 3rd Army) arrives in Vienna as Mark Clark's successor. c. Smuts visits Athens, and broadcasts in Pretoria on return to South Africa.

V. Children training as acrobats.

VI. "Bilder aus aller Welt." a. Impressive photos of a Dakota crashed into a house in England (without loss of life). b. Wedding festivities of Indian Maharajah's son. c. 'Glcklerlauf' traditional Alpine winter festival.

VII. Sport. a. Football, Munich v Nuremberg in the snow. b. Boxing in Hamburg: Huchs beats Eder.
