Synopsis
In Negri Sembilan, one of the nine states of the Malayan Federation, nineteen tribal chieftains renew their allegiance to the reigning Malayan dynasty. The ruler, the Yang di Pertuan Besar, accepts the salutes from the chieftains in a `purification' ceremony which dates back to the founding of the present dynasty.
