Synopsis

Amateur film of Karamoja, Uganda, shot by Michael Wigglesworth who worked as a town planner in Uganda when it was a British colony.

Footage includes: Blood drinking ceremony, cattle market, rain making ceremony, pygmies dancing to drum music in the woods, Murchison Falls, Moroto, herding oxen, branding cattle, the dance of the Rain Makers dressed in elaborate headdresses and with metal leaves hanging from their noses, stretching and hammering leather, preparing poison arrows, various animals including: ostriches, wild boar, deer, elephant, hippopotamus, giraffe, lion.
