Synopsis
ACTUALITY. Long shot of President Kruger.
A long shot of Kruger leaving his residence to be driven off to the Volksraad. When the President has taken his place in the carriage, a footman closes the door, jumps up behind and the vehicle is driven away, while a bodyguard of mounted horsemen fall into place behind (48ft).
Note: Apparently filmed by Joe Rosenthal during his 1898 visit to South Africa, although Barnes credits Edgar Hyman as the camera operator.
