Synopsis

View of the coast from surf boats, Portuguese palaces, canoes used for fishing, women cleaning the catch, mud ovens for smoking fish, repairing nets. Children playing in the village and the sea. A man weaving cloth and making soap from smoked banana skins and palm oil. Work on the cocoa farms eg, harvesting, extraction of beans, fermentation, drying. Beans being taken from the broker to a buyer. The transportation to the coast via cars. Surf boats at Accra and then cocoa being loaded onto larger steamers. Bournville, cleaning beans, roasting, winnowing, grinding, the production of cocoa butter, cocoa powder and finally into tins of Bournville cocoa.
