Synopsis
Brunei city. Settlement of wooden dwellings constructed on stilts over the water dominated in the background by a large newly constructed mosque glimmering white Life in the settlement with speed boats as the means of transport..Offshore oil platform. Oil rig on land and working oil rig donkey. Arrival of Lord Selkirk and inspection of Guard of Honour on his arrival at airport. Exhibition by RAF dog handlers with their dogs at a show.
Production / Donor Details: The Selkirk collection belonged the late Lord George Douglas Hamilton, 10th Earl of Selkirk from 1926-1987. Among many other appointments, the Earl of Selkirk was First Lord of the Admiralty from 1957-59, and UK Commissioner for Singapore & Commisioner-General for South East Asia from 1959-63.
