Synopsis

RAF personnel leave Rangoon, Burma, by ship for leave, postings, and repatriation.

Rangoon harbour; a temporary bridge leads to a pontoon jetty. RAF personnel, led by Wing Commander Pimm, cross the bridge and board a landing craft. The landing craft makes its way out of Rangoon harbour and draws alongside a troopship, probably the HMT Dilwara. Men leave the landing craft and climb a gangway staircase to the deck of the ship. The crew watch the men come aboard. The ship's Captain gives orders on the bridge. A naval officer moves the ship's engine telegraph. A signaller uses an Aldis lamp. Rangoon harbour with local boats.
