Synopsis

The RAF lead a parade in Calcutta (Kolkata) India, mounted to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Britain

Shot of parade forming up with US Army Air Force band. Fort William in the background. Mr Richard Gardiner Casey, Governor of Bengal, arrives by motorcade. Cameraman walking in front of parade, which is led by RAF Ensign with Fort William in background. Female personnel of the Women's Auxiliary Corps of India (WAC(I)) march off. Governor Casey shown with Air Commodore Mellersh (Air Commander, Stategic Air Force, Eastern Air Command) who takes the salute on the cathedral steps. Parade arrives in cathedral grounds.
